How to play
A turn, from start to finish
IqraQuest takes a few minutes to learn. Here is exactly how a turn goes.
The turn
Draw a card
The card turns over and announces what it is worth: “Card worth 5 gallops”. You know what a right answer is worth before you even read the question.
Answer the question
Four possible answers, at your level. Once you have chosen, the game shows the right answer, a short explanation and the exact source.
Choose the horse
The horses that can move light up. Touch one: its destination square lights up, with the squares in between shown as dots.
Set it down
Slide the horse to its golden square. Setting it down is the move — there is nothing to confirm.
The rules that matter
Leaving the stable
You need a card worth 6 to bring a horse out. A 6 also lets you play again.
The exact count
A horse never overshoots the finish. If the count is not exact, it waits for the right card — and the game tells you which one.
Captures
A horse that ends its run on an opponent sends it back to its stable. The capture pays 20 extra squares.
Bonus squares
Reached on an exact count, a bonus square pays its value: +5, +10 or +20. These squares pay once per turn.
The knowledge streak
Three right answers in a row give a shield; five, the Grand Galop; ten, a mastery badge.
Winning
In a quick game, the first horse home wins. In a classic game, you have to bring home all four horses of your stable.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you need to know Islam to play?
- No. The easy level is made for a seven-year-old who is discovering all of this, and every answer comes with a short explanation and its source: you learn as you play, including when you get it wrong.
- Can several people play on one phone?
- Yes. Family mode takes two to four players on one device, each with their own question level.
- Do you need an internet connection?
- No. IqraQuest works entirely offline once installed. Only the purchase itself goes through the App Store or Google Play.
- Are there ads or a subscription?
- Neither. The game carries no advertising and offers no subscription. One optional one-time purchase unlocks the full question bank.
- Where do the questions come from?
- From the Qur’an, or from the Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim collections. Every question shows its exact reference, and subjects that do not allow a clear answer within a game are set aside.
- When does the app come out?
- Publication on the App Store and Google Play is being prepared. The download buttons on this site will be enabled on launch day.
